A lovely family Christmas in a charming cottage

Pros: Beautifully decorated for our Christmas week stay (thank you!). Well equipped kitchen. Snug living rooms with a log burner and open fire.

Cons: Some of the facilities are showing their age but overall a charming if not luxurious property.

A lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful, serene location.

Pros: The tranquility, the birdsong, and the woods literally on the doorstep.

Cons: Nothing.

Loved it, totally blissful and relaxing. We are definitely going to be returning.

Pros: Wonderful, peaceful location, despite being only 10 mins off the main road. Woodland walks right beside the cottage, Nairn beach just a 15 min drive, fab for dog-owners. Log-burning stove was fantastic, made the place really cosy. Everything was immaculately clean, every kitchen gadget you could need if you want to squirrel yourself away and cook but good take-aways in Nairn for the lazy option!

Cons: Loads of hot water for the bath/shower but no enclosure over the bath sides, so super-paranoid about making the floor wet! And, without a bathroom extractor fan, the bathroom became quite steamy, would have been good if the bathroom window could open. (We couldn't find a window key that fitted).

Great holiday between Cawdor and Nairn

Pros: We like the location of the property, it was easy to find and had direct access to nice woodland for walking the dog and for the kids to enjoy exploring.

Cons: The hood over the cooker was too low and made difficult cooking. The amount of light in the kitchen could be improved too.

Beautiful rural cottage

Pros: Lovely location, nice garden, so much bird song. Lots of books, games. Fantastic for cycling, at least 4 days on bikes from door. Also nice to have Cawdor Castle and Tavern a mile away.
