Locheil Apartment

Pros: Lovely and spacious apartment close to Boat of Garten and very quiet although next to main road (apartment is facing the garden). Both the kitchen and the bathroom are modern and very well equipped (the only thing you might miss is a dishwasher), including a washing mashine which is very useful for longer stays. The bedroom and living room upstairs are both cosy and the bed is very comfortable. Communication with the hosts was good and they were really welcoming and we were provided with some eggs for a nice breakfast and also some tea and coffee. There is a well stocked village shop in Boat of Garten and some supermarkets in Aviemore. Lots of opportunities to spend your days in the surroundings.

Cons: The headroom in the bedroom is limited so when getting up from the right side of the bed you have to be careful not to hit your head. It wasn't a problem for us but maybe not ideal if you have any mobility issues, also the stairs are a bit steep but well lit.

Simply perfect!

Pros: Everything was superb with the cottage! I really can't think of a single thing that wasn't terrific; great layout, super shower, very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, perfect location, peaceful setting and very convenient for the fishing. Also loved the decked area for my tea in the morning and the company of your lovely dog! I'll certainly be back again in the future.

Very quiet comfortable apartment with everything I required for my stay.

Pros: Perfect location for my needs. Excellent kitchen with plenty of pots/pans and utensils. Parking right next to the apartment.

Cons: I'm tall which meant limited head room in bedroom and living room but not so low that it was a problem. Poor WiFi signal but the very good welcome pack did warn about this.

Had a fantastic four night stay in the appartment.

Pros: The cottage was in an excellent, central location for visiting the area. It was very clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable and the cottage was very well equipped for preparing meals. Hosts were very friendly.

Pros: The apartment was extremely well kitted out with lots of extra touches. Excellent eco considerations including recycling, food compost and products in use. Comfortable bed and good showers. Big towels and more provided for a week long stay. Friendly owners but not intrusive. The area has so much to offer for those who love the outdoors. The property was comfortable if that’s not your thing.

Cons: The bedroom was in the eves and this was a slight problem as we are both quite tall. May not suit anyone over 6ft.

Pros: We recently stayed at this charming cottage that exceeded all my expectations. The location is perfect for anyone looking to explore the local hiking trails and the nearby national park. The cottage itself is incredibly cozy, with a comfortable bed that guarantees a good night's sleep. It is well-equipped with everything you might need, and the reality is even better than the photos and description suggest. The atmosphere is truly an oasis of peace, making it an excellent spot for rest and relaxation. The hosts were wonderful, striking the perfect balance between being welcoming and providing plenty of privacy. I highly recommend this place for a tranquil getaway surrounded by nature.
