Pros: A very modern and comfortable property. The location was great, and was even better because the caravan park was shut for winter, hence it was very quiet when we stayed.

Cons: There were no flaws during our stay, though I can imagine when the caravan park is open in summer it would be a bit frustrating being surrounded by caravans.

Our home away from home..

Pros: House is clean. Perfect location. A male staff was really nice. We appreciate his efforts especially the firestick for the tele that was not working, he even gave his own adapter so we can use it. Fantastic service. We will definitely return again!

Cons: Wish there was also a washing machine to washed up clothes though.

Great time away!

Pros: It's a great wee house! The staff were all really nice and helpful when we had any questions and it was nice and quiet. I'd say it's more suited for families with younger children, great wee park for kids and the location is the perfect base for plenty of days out. For any whisky fans it's worth a visit to the Glenfarclas and Ballindalloch distilleries as they're not too far a drive! 🥃

Cons: If we were being picky I'd say is that it's a touch expensive for what it is. It is on the smaller side and the garden is very small, parking is just around the corner of the building outside of the reception and it would have been a bit more convenient if we could have parked directly outside the property but reception did let us through to unpack our bags so it wasn't a big issue or anything!

Excellent holiday house

Pros: Aviemore is a wonderful location with many lochs and walks nearby. The house is right on the edge of Aviemore at the start of the Oakwood Caravan and Camping park. Both the house and the campsite were immaculately looked after. The house was spotlessly clean and the rooms and bathrooms were a good size. Beds were comfortable and none of the bedding contained feathers or down so would not cause problems for people with allergies. Kitchen was very well equipped and the living room space was very comfortable Our party of five females found the space in the house worked well for us. The Oakwood staff were really friendly and helpful and made us very welcome. We would be happy to stay there again

Cons: We had travelled from different parts of Scotland in four separate cars. The house has two allocated parking spaces. We were luckily (with Oakwood staff help) able to sort out parking close by for the other two cars) but I think in busy summer season if your group had more than two cars they would have to be parked over a mile away and that's something to be aware of.

Pros: It was all great… however, instructions to use the heating could have been better, even after calling the owner…and I accidentally left my toile bag, and thought that they should have contacted me about this ? However thinking about visiting again

Great stay in a lovely house

Pros: Lovely house with large rooms, suitable for 4 adults, kitchen and living space perfect for our needs

A lovely self catering lodge for a week to explore the Cairngorms and the West of Scotland!

Pros: We loved our short break in Aviemore. The lodge was the perfect base for us throughout the week and located close to everything we had planned for the trip. The lodge was very clean and tidy, spacious rooms and a nice lounge area. It might be a tight squeeze with 8 people with only 2 showers (3 toilets) but it was a lovely space for 4 of us! The kitchen was well stocked with pans and crockery so we cooked our own dinner there most nights. There are two supermarkets within Aviemore but also plenty of other places to eat out although probably a stretch over walking distance from the lodge as the road was fast and no streetlights until you got into the main town. There was a catering truck open Friday-Sunday too! The highlight of our trip was the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd trip which was around 20 minutes from the lodge.

Cons: There was no tea towel or oven glove provided! The downstairs bathroom had no hooks for the towels to dry. The heating was hit and miss, when we arrived the thermostats were set to 10 degrees and the lodge was freezing! The upstairs of the house is heated with radiators and the downstairs with underfloor heating. It turns out the underfloor heating had an error but after phoning the host an engineer was sent round that evening. They offered to provide some plug in heaters but by the following morning the lodge was a lovely temperature. Sadly on our last evening we realised the radiators upstairs had not come on but fortunately the underfloor heating was very effective at heating the whole house.

Pros: Great location , was 15 minutes drive for all the lochs and parks we wanted to visit , 4 minutes drive to aviemore high street and staff were really freindly and helpful with places to go and checking we were all settled. House was clean and tidy , garden was a good size .

Cons: Could have done with a washing machine in the house and a clothes horse . Their is a washing machine on site that you can use, but one in the house would have been better .People stare in through the window a lot as they walk by, and they aren't subtle about ir haha , could maybe use different blinds to make it harder to see in but these are small things that didn't impact our holiday in the slightest .

Pros: The property provided the perfect number of rooms to suit our family (7 adults)

Cons: There wasn't enough toilet paper to last the weekend and there weren't any tea towels or dish soap.
