Pros: Very friendly welcome from Diane and Steven. They made us feel at home for the entire weekend. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed, even a welcome basket for our Dachshund. The breakfast was great, including the home made bread! Would highly recommend

A lovely welcoming guest house close to the Lecht ski slopes.

Pros: Owners are very friendly and I was able to arrange an early breakfast which tasted wonderful. The room was very welcoming with a comfortable double bed. The ensuite was massive. I was able to park directly ouside the property, although a public carpark is directly opposite. The property is a short distance (10 minutes) from the Lecht ski slopes.

Create little BnB with a very helpful host

Pros: The owner of the Argyle Guest House could not do enough to help, even offering us an early breakfast as we had an early commitment we had to get to- this was very much appreciated!

Cons: There is very little we didn’t like about the property! The worst you could probably say is the floorboards were very creaky as it’s an old property but as the rooms are on the first floor with no one above you then this isn’t an issue.

Wonderful b$b in highest town in Speyside

Pros: Our family of 6 people absolutely loved our stay at Argyle. Came during a quiet period after Christmas but were welcomed to the full extent by Dianne and Steven. Very homely rooms with fantastic breakfast - would recommend to any type of traveller. We used the property as a base to visit the distilleries of Speyside. Wonderful, and the hosts went out of their way to make it special. Thanks so much.

Lovely place to stay

Pros: Dianne was very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The room was lovely, facilities were great, breakfast was delicious!! Location is lovely and easy to find. I would definitely stay again.

Cons: Tomintoul is a very small place and therefore not alot of choice for dining. Especially as we visited over the New Year festive period.

Fantastic place to stay, especially for tired \u0026 muddy cyclists looking for veggie/vegan food!

Pros: We had a really warm welcome from Dianne when we arrived in the dark with our bikes. We could store them (uncovered) in the garden behind a locked gate where they had a wheel rack to hold them up. The room was much bigger than we expected and came complete with a separate bathroom and lounge area. There was a lovely touch of a free dram of the local whisky. The other big benefit for us was a really excellent vegan and / or vegetarian breakfast offering, including scrambled tofu and fresh baked bread. Really great to be so well catered for in this area.

Cons: The décor is a little dated, but the house is full of character and this was of no consequence to us.

A gem!

Pros: We had such a great stay here! The room was really comfortable, with everything we needed to relax after a long day. The whole place has a warm and cozy vibe that makes you feel at home right away. Breakfast was a real treat – fresh, tasty, and with plenty of options to start the day right. What really stood out, though, was the hosts. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about making the stay perfect. Little details, like taking time for a chat and giving tips about the area, made all the difference. We left feeling rested, well-fed, and very well taken care of. We would happily recommend this place to anyone, and we are already looking forward to coming back!
