The Rosebery Retreat By The Castle 1-Bed Apartment

A lovely comfortable apartment, well located.

Pros: Great location. Lovely 10 minute walk along the river to the city centre. In the other direction, walk along by the river to Ness Islands via the Memorial Gardens. Sweet little apartment, with tasteful decor. A washing machine and iron with ironing board is provided, should they be required.

Cons: The door lock was tricky. There were no Toiletries or Welcome packs as the photos depicted, which was disappointing. Communication by email via Booking.com, was not forthcoming as expected, a week beforehand. That was a little stressful after money had been taken out. When I rang the property owner after a few days, via Travelnest, she answered immediately and sent me directions via WhatsApp, which were very clear.

Cosy and comfortable

Pros: A lovely apartment for a short stay in Inverness with a well equipped kitchen, a comfy bed and great wifi. A quick and easy walk to town but not right in the centre - good if you want a quiet retreat at the end of the day. Perfect for a solo traveler or couple .

A great cosy place to stay for exploring Inverness and Lochness.

Pros: Position in the town, close to the bank of the river Ness and the bridge to the Cathedral. The Ground Floor Flat.

Cons: We would appreciate to have: 1. A kitchen knife. 2. A washing line. 3. A Clear instruction that the access door is NOT on 1 Roseberry place but from MacDonald Street, behind the corner. There are four adresses with the number 1 on Roseberry place 1, 1a, 1b, 1c. But the owner sent the photos via WhatsApp which was very useful.

Perfect for a weekend getaway! Has everything you need.

Pros: This was a perfect cosy apartment that met all of our needs. It was equipped with everything we needed. Also had blankets and heaters. It had good wifi and was only a short walk to the city centre.

Cons: The apartment was quite small, perfect for two people though. Some of the heaters were a bit faulty but still had one that worked which was good. The mattress was okay but had a bit of a dip in it. The shower felt a bit old might need to be updated as there’s no light in the shower.

Amazing stay

Pros: Amazing property,very well priced and the staff were amazing,very prompt at sending booking information on day of arrival 10/10

Cons: It’s not a negative, parking is an issue as it’s a small street however it’s free parking at the small park 200m down the road 👌🏼

Nice flat, enjoyed our stayed.

Pros: Really easy to pick up the keys, although I wasn't automatically sent the information as I was meant to be so I had to phone the owner the day before we came. It's a sweet little flat which is well located for the sites in Inverness.

Cons: The only thing was the flat was very cold (we visited in June, but a freezing cold June!) there were little electric heaters which we were able to use but they weren't brilliant and I couldn't figure out putting the heating on. Perhaps having a little guest book with recommendations would have been helpful.

Pros: It was very cosy and beautiful appartment, the host was very friendly and helped us a great deal.

great for one or two nights

Pros: very private and self contained with all conveniences ideal for solo or couple

Pros: Great location, lovely tidy and comfortable place. Was everything we needed for a quick stopover in inverness

Cons: Parking was a 5-10min walk away but I suppose to be expected in a city centre property and not a huge issue for us
